I hesitated in giving the name of my pen. It's the Pilot Metropolitan. I like it; it's a great pen for $20 USD, but I'd probably have been better off spending another $10 or so for the TWSBI ECO.

Even with the Metropolitan, though, ink cartridges are cheap, and it does come with a (crappy) converter for inkwells.

The ECO is still a very affordable pen, but it doesn't need (proprietary) cartridges. It's a piston fill.

I use a medium nib; it fits my handwriting style.

I've spent the last two weeks using a fountain pen for my daily schedule and notes. Yesterday it ran out of ink for the first time.

This is the second time in my life that I've tried a fountain pen, and I'm genuinely amazed at how well it's worked out.

I will probably be buying a fountain pen that's a bit higher quality in the future, but I'm really happy with even a cheap one!

"Polish Jews have not experienced such hatred expressed in public for years.”

Three suspects have been arrested over a disturbing antisemitic incident in Poland in which demonstrators shouted "Death to the Jews" while burning a book about Jewish rights.

I woke up to intense pain on my arm/armpit that felt like a burning rash.

"I must have a very bad skin rask", I thought.

...I was sleeping on the laptop's AC adapter and that "burning sensation" was my skin burning.

Been reading about people who when they die, leave detailed and beautiful diaries detailing their life and inner world.

When I die I'll leave a folder of org files containing TODO items like "clean the cat litter" and "take out the trash"

Jewish college students face record high rates of antisemitic abuse on campus. What does it say that universities are staying silent? Jewish students deserve to be safe on their campuses, and not have the administration turn a blind eye to hatred.

There is a big difference between being anti-Zionist and pro-Palestine.

One is about lifting someone up, the other is about bringing people down.

A Holocaust monument in Campo San Francisco, Spain, was vandalized over the weekend.

In addition to damaging the Star of David, the perpetrators scratched the memorial plaque in an apparent attempt to remove references to the Nazi genocide.

@emacsen you have too many brussel sprouts. You can't possibly eat that many...

You're right @emacsen, I guess i'll have to turn the rest into brussell sprout kimchee!

I should mention that I do have some issues on keto, namely muscle cramps.

Leg cramps, etc. despite the fact I take magnesium, potassium, vitamin D and a B complex.

I think if this continues, I will see an endocrinologist.

“Death to the Jews” and “LGBT pedophiles and Zionists are the enemies of Poland” shouted hundreds of far right wing Polish nationalists at a rally on Thursday while burning book about the protection of Jewish civil rights in Poland.

With this, people may be thinking "Why aren't you always on keto/how did you stop?"

The answer is really simple:

- Keto food isn't as "fun" as non-keto food. Starchy foods are warm and comforting- pasta, rice, bread, potatoes are yummy

- When I'm tired and want to order in, with keto it's very challenging, especially in NYC

- I get "bored" with keto food after a while

- It's very easy to slip out of ketosis and then I have cravings again. Breaking the cycle is hard and difficult

Back on keto for the first week. Blood sugar is a little high- this always happens when I start keto, but am producing keytones.

I forgot the secondary benefits of keto- the sleep, improved mood and improved focus.

Oh and with my lack of being able to process fructose... I'm enjoying other benefits as well.

Disgusting - Polish radicals shout "Death to Jews" during 'Independence Day' rally outside of Warsaw.

Others chanted “No to Polin, yes to Poland.”
“Polin” is both the Hebrew-language name for Poland and the name of the main Jewish museum in Warsaw.
