Hey folks,

As I'm working with a non-FLOSS person, I'm realizing something about our community that I think is often missing from our discussions... We're all driven by ethics.

We disagree on which ethics, and how they should be applied, but we're all part of a community, maybe even a family of like-thinking people who value the discussion of ethics themselves.

I love you people. I mean it.

@emacsen well said

@emacsen I am not sure that your friends statement about your ethic is complete. I find the same statement made to me as often and realised that people confuse ethics and the application of it. I don't think as humankind our ethic are much different. What differs individually how we learn them. If ethic is dogmatically applied examples to someone, they have hard time understanding conceptually different application of the same rule i.e free software.
