If I don't want to implement ActivityPub from scratch, and I need it to be S2S compatible with Mastodon, is there a nice Python library I can use to quickly stand up a server and play with it?
@emacsen I'd also be interested in this, if you manage to find anything. A quick skim of GitHub only reveals client-side implementations.
@emacsen maybe you can take a look at https://github.com/BasixKOR/awesome-activitypub#libraries there might be a fit for your needs.
@arthurlutz its tricky. AP itself isn't hard. You can implement core AP in an afternoon or less. But making something that talks to other modern AP servers is hard.
I'll check out the libraries you've pointed to but I'll need to go through each one. That's why I asked if people had first hand experience
@emacsen maybe https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/guide-for-new-activitypub-implementers/479 can have some pointers
re: ActivityPub, Python
Will check it out. I don't need active maintenance because I'll just be using it to make a proof of concept demo.
