I'm attending a virtual Cypurr event 👍 but they're running it on Zoom 👎
It makes me sad. Kinda wish they'd set a better example.

Video calls are really hard to do well, lot of bandwidth & cpu for transcoding. Adding VOIP call-in lines makes it even harder. IMO people end up with zoom or google because they lack the energy to solve problems necessary to adopt alternatives.
Do they need help setting up a jot si server or accessing big blue button. ?
I don't think that's their reason.
Have you set up BBB? I'm looking for some help with a unified Jitsi/BBB system (ie LDAP for both).
Any experience or thoughts to share?
They use Zoom but also CryptPad...
